Since I havent posted in a while, I guess I will post a compilation of my encounters for the last two weeks.
At carlsbad I ran my friend robbie's 03 cobra with Intake, 2.93" pulley, Chip, X pipe, Catback, and Nitto 315 Drag radials.
On the streets I ran a new modded Mustang Mach1 (K&N Intake, Magnaflow exhaust) for $40. He would only race me for $10 if heads up, so I told him id space him out if he wanted to go for more. I gave him a car length off the line, and we lined up with my headlights at his taillight next to each other. The flagger (my friend) said by the time he could drop his arms and turn around, I had already turned the tables and gotten a car-length on him. I then proceeded to pull roughly 2 more cars on him, and beat him by about 3 cars. He was beyond pissed, he thought that he was hustling me He didn't want to pay up, but was persauded other wise.
Also on the street that night I encountered a LS1 Z28 with exhaust. We ran from a roll initially (50-110) and I pulled about 2 cars (Surprised me). After that, we went from a stoplight where I got a 1 car off the line (only a 3.5k rpm launch) and pulled another 3 till 120. We parted ways with a thumbs up, and I was like saying to myself "cool".
I ALSO raced a 350 nova that runs 11.70s on slicks. I was expecting to get mutilated. Quite the opposite occured since he was on street tires. Off the line I got roughly 3 cars while he was spinning. I shift to 2nd, and he starts going sideways behind me. I shift to 3rd and notice he is finally streight but aint pulling. I finish with roughly 6 cars on him. We do it again with the same results.
Mods are in sig with gutted maf, was running 4 gallons of 100 octane in all but cobra race and 19-20 psi on stockers with a home-made water IC sprayer (HELL YEA MAX OUT THEM HAIR DRIERS)
